Let's not beat around the bush here; words are hard. Sure, math and numbers can be confusing and pointless as hell, but words are where all the problems lie. At least numbers have to follow certain set rules and parameters. Words? Hah. Words laugh in the face of rules. They tear down the established paradigms and create new ones for one specific circumstance. Words are ever-changing, ever-developing. New ones are formed and old ones forgotten. Words are shortened, given new meanings, structured with new rules, and rearranged every day. We see it happen, yet no one stops to even bat a eye. That is normal for words. Abnormality is normality. Words are the ultimate rebels; destroying much only to produce much more.
Knowing this I now promise something. Or, rather, I promise nothing.
I am undertaking this blog as a sort of personal way to obtain catharsis and freedom in my life. I'm using this as a place to be uncensored, unobstructed, and, most importantly, true to myself. I cannot promise what will eventually show up here at such an early stage.
Sure, I have grandiose images in my head of enthralling stories, side-splitting comedies, and slight internet fame coming from my mellifluous writing; but I know the truth. The Internet is a fickle place. We are fickle people. And words are hard to craft into a lasting impression. So this is my promise to you, dear reader: I will live life and relate it here, complete with triumphs, tragedies, embarrassments, and relationships, all wrapped up with a healthy dose of personal insights and opinions. I want to try and show college life through college eyes. No lies, no BS, just pure, unadulterated truth. I won't say everything will be good, but there will at least be something; I'm just hoping there will be someones accompanied by those somethings.
Hobey ho, let's go.
I like this Datt May :) Lets me actually see you are still alive too! XD
